Proposals must attach letters of support from at least two regional workforce planning boards and one publicly funded college or university within the same economic region.

Realities of review include mandatory matching contributions of 25 percent from non-federal sources, documented through bank statements or committed grant agreements. The province weights scoring toward projects that target mid-sized cities outside the Greater Toronto Area where post-secondary completions in computer science lag provincial averages.

Fit assessment for Ontario requires explicit comparison of proposed participant numbers against Statistics Canada labour force survey data for the specific census division. Applications that replicate existing Toronto-based coding bootcamps without rural or mid-sized city delivery plans receive lower priority.

Ontario differs from Quebec by requiring all participant tracking data to be submitted through the provincial workforce information system rather than permitting independent platforms.
